Pastor's Page
Born and raised in Southern California, Pastor Dan Kistler grew up in the
Baptist Church. He graduated BIOLA University in 1986 with a B.A. in
Linguistics. While studying for his M.A. in theological studies at Talbot
School of Theology, he worked for Christian Research Institute. During this
time, he studied the Lutheran Confessions and a number of writings by Martin
Luther and C.F.W. Walther. He subsequently joined the Lutheran Church -
Missouri Synod in 1990, the same year he graduated from Talbot. In 1992, he
began his studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. In 1994 he was accepted
into the exchange program through the seminary which allowed him to study in
Germany for nine months. He graduated Concordia Seminary in 1997 with a Masters
of Divinty and was called to be the pastor of St. John Lutheran Church,
Aliceville, KS where he served until 2000. Today he serves as pastor at Our
Savior¹s Lutheran Church in Pacifica, CA.
